It’s officially wedding season, although it doesn’t completely feel like it. Whether you are having a smaller wedding, postponing, or planning a wedding in the next couple of years, I hope you are finding some joy in this planning process. When it comes to wedding planning, there are so many details that go into your special day. From the guest book, to the shoes, to the little signs and so on, there is a lot that goes into it. It is tradition to preserve the top layer of your wedding cake to enjoy on your first anniversary for good luck. In order to keep the cake fresh and preserved for an entire year, it needs to be in an air-tight container. KeepCake will help to do just that.

KeepCake
KeepCake is designed to protect the top tier of your wedding cake. It will ensure that you have a fresh cake a year later. KeepCake also features a keepsake compartment that you can creatively use as a time capsule. Store a copy of your vows in it or write a letter to your one-year later selves. The cake container serves as more than just a cake preserver. Opening up your wedding cake on your anniversary should be fun and seamless, without any worry.
As I planned my wedding, storing my cake was one of my last thoughts. This is a really great gift idea in my opinion. You can get 10% off with code LOVESOPHIA.
The Benefits
The founders of KeepCake did a lot of research before coming up with the final product. KeepCake creates a vacuum sealed cavity for storing your cake, which prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi, as well as preventing the evaporation of water and other volatile compounds.
KeepCake is the first container that was designed to fight freezer burn (yuck!). It prevents the fats in the cake from absorbing flavors and odors from neighboring foods in the freezer, and keep the cake looking as beautiful as it did on the wedding day.

I remember that I put my on the freezer for one year and I ate it I didn’t preserve it like thaat but it will be nice to have that at a time
Oh nice. We didn’t have a cake since we got married in a courthouse. I don’t know if I’d want to save the top tier or not!
Wow I didn’t know this existed. My sister once went to cut the top tier on her 1st anniversary and let’s just say, it wasn’t a pretty sight!! The cake went straight in the bin ha ha thanks for the recommendation
I didn’t know there was such a product! We were married 15+ years ago and just froze it in a Tupperware. I do remember it didn’t taste quite as good as on our wedding day!
That is a cool container. I remember that I store my cake in a box wrapped in foil
I stored my cake in foil and plastic wrap and the put it in the freezer for the year. It was pretty yucky by the time we took it out for our anniversary. I am glad to see a better option.
I’m not married and I don’t think I will be for a while, but I’ve got a cake topper from my 18th birthday which I absolutely love and I’ll definitely use what you’ve suggested to try and keep it in good condition!
I’ve heard of so many people doing this. My mother and father wrapped their’s in greaseproof paper and froze it for years!
Such fascinating innovation. Such the cake will look as fresh as ever. Thanks for sharing this info
I had no idea there was such a product! We had cupcake and we pretty much just wrapped them in tinfoil and stuck them in the freezer. They were still pretty good a year later.
I learned soemthing new today. I didnt know that it is actually being preserved. Glad to know it could be! 🙂
I don’t even remember keeping the top layer of my wedding cake but I now feel like eating a slice of wedding cake. haha!! Anyway, this is such an innovative way to keep the top tier of a wedding cake and the memories will be so fresh as well. Great job!
What wonderful tips for preserving the top of your wedding cake tier. I have never heard of this before but you learn something new every day!
Wow! What a great idea! I didn’t know such a product existed. I’ll keep it in mind if I happen to get married or know of someone who will be getting married in the future.
Wow, it looks wonderful and cool container. the tips are good for preserving the top of the cake tier.
This sounds like a great option! We didn’t use a container like that, just wrapped ours up in plastic wrap. That being said, we also didn’t keep the cake as long as we were supposed to… instead we broke into it early after the freezer gave out and everything thawed. I mean, why let good cake go to waste? Right?
Very good product! Just found out about this by your post!
I had no idea that you could keep fresh a cake for an entire year if you put it in an air tight container. Wow!
