We have been working to fill in the small blank spaces in our home. I personally feel like the small walls around the house can make the biggest impact with the right decor. Since we moved in to our house two years ago, I’ve always wanted to do something to our front foyer. It’s a small space so it was hard to imagine what that would look like. With the help of Pinterest and lots of thinking, we came up with an easy way to transform the space. Here is our front foyer transformation. I’d love to hear what you think!

Easy Front Foyer Transformation
Before
For the last two years, the front foyer and the hallway was painted a blue/green color. It always bugged me. I knew we needed to paint it, but it kept getting pushed to the bottom of our priority list. Below are the before photos of where we were starting. It’s a small space and the front door opens towards the wall, so we knew we couldn’t build a bench or anything that would come off the wall more than an inch or two. I scoured the internet for inspiration and we finally found a vision for what we wanted.
The Process
The first step was to paint the whole room white. That way we had a base for the next steps. After painting it white, my husband built out the structure on the wall. The color we used to paint the accent wall is called “Muted Sage” and we got it from Home Depot.
Even after just adding this color to the room, the whole vibe changed. I knew it was going to be perfect! Committing to a color like green was a bit difficult for me, but I’m so glad we took the risk. Then, we added a couple of hooks.
After
The last step was to add a couple of frames and these prints over the wall. We decided to go with a vintage vibe and I absolutely love how it turned out.
We are so in love with this transformation and hope it provided you with helpful inspiration! We have a lot more house projects to share and a few in the works so be sure to follow along for the next one.

And also, where did you buy the dutch windmill picture frame?
Thank you!

Hi! The muted sage is by Behr (you can get it at Home Depot). The picture frames are from Amazon. You can find the exact link for them in the second to last paragraph of this blog post.

Hi. What kind of wood did you use? And the top piece, is it a shelf?
Sophia says
We used 1×3 pine boards and yes the top is a shelf.

How tall are your ceilings and how high is the top shelf from the floor? How far apart did you put the vertical boards from each other? Looking for help with dimensions!
