Today I am sharing with you all the bridal details from the wedding, including my dress, shoes, accessories and hair/makeup. If you know anything about me, you know that I am incredibly indecisive. How the heck was I going to decide on all these small details on the most important day of my life? Well, it was actually easier than I thought. In case you missed it, here are our vendors.
As soon as I got engaged and started doing my research on wedding planning, the first thing every blog said was to find a dress. The reason being, some dresses take over 10 months to make. Our engagement was only 8 months so I immediately freaked. My mom and I set up some appointments at local places and went just to try some on and get a feel for it. I walked into the first bridal store with one dress style in mind. In my head I said to myself that I didn’t want anything poofy. I didn’t even want to try anything on that wasn’t slim fitting and tight. After trying on 6 or 7 of the long, slim fitting dresses, nothing felt right.
My mom suggested I try on at least one dress of another style. The lady who was helping us grabbed a dress off the rack and had me try it on. It just hit me. I turned around and my mom was in tears. It was the dress. The experience was nothing like you see in movies. But, when you know, you know.
My Dress
I purchased my dress from Bacio Bacio Bridal in Wellington, Florida. The dress is made by Calle Blanche and it’s the Willow Dress. I absolutely loved my dress. Even though it wasn’t what I originally imagined, it was even better. The best part? It had pockets! I kept my mask in there. It was truly my dream dress. Fun fact: My dress came in and I picked it up the day that the store was closing for lockdown. It was wild, but I am thankful I got it.
My veil was also from Bacio Bacio and it was the length of my dress. The long veil was something I didn’t know I would love until I tried it on. It made such a statement. There was subtle gems on the outer parts of it, but nothing that would take away from the dress.
My Shoes
After tons of research on “wedding shoes” it seemed that all of the ones I liked were either extremely expensive and/or had ratings that consisted of extreme discomfort. I knew that I wanted to be 100% comfortable on our wedding day and not have to worry about sore feet. Since my dress was pretty large, my feet were never going to be visible. I saw someone on Pinterest that wore blue shoes and I loved the idea of that. The shoes I loved were no longer sold, but by chance, I happened to find a brand new pair, still in the box, in my size, on Poshmark for $30. I couldn’t believe it. Mine were Vince Camuto, but this pair is really similar. I ordered them and fit like a glove. Ya never know where you’ll find your wedding shoes!
Accessories
Choosing accessories was something that I actually forgot about until last minute. Accessories are an important part of the bridal details. I always wear simple earrings, so when it came to choosing wedding day accessories, I couldn’t decide if I should just play it safe and keep it simple, or if I should spice it up and get something a little dressier. My decision was to fall somewhere in between. I ordered and tried a few pairs, but ultimately decided on these earrings from Etsy. They were absolutely perfect. Not too heavy, not too small, just the perfect amount of sparkle. I ordered these earrings for all of the bridesmaids.
For my perfume, I chose to wear one of my all time favorites, Versace Bright Crystal. My aunt gifted it to me many years ago and since then, it has always been my favorite. When Eddie and I were in Italy and got engaged, that was the perfume my aunt had sitting in the bathroom at her house where we were staying.
When the bridesmaids arrived in the morning, I had their robes and earrings laid out for them. I grabbed this little ring box for photos. Under my robe, I wore this slip that I got off Amazon. I never took my robe off, but it was nice to have something under for comfort purposes.
The girls surprised me with a basket of goodies when the shower got cancelled and it included these slippers. They were so comfortable and I wore them all day while getting ready. Side note: I ordered these cups to use while we got ready. They were super cute, inexpensive and good quality.
My Robe
My robe was something really special. Believe it or not, it’s actually made out of my mom’s wedding dress. She had it made and my sisters will also be able to wear it on their wedding days. It is truly such a special gift. If you are interested in doing something similar, this is the company that my mom used. The robe is absolutely beautiful.
My Hair
I shared more in depth about our vendors, including my hair/makeup vendor, Beauty Justified by Justine Lynn in this blog post. She was amazing and she made my dream come to life. I knew I wanted my hair to be out of my face, but still wanted to have a few hanging by my face. I actually picked up a hair vine from the bridal store, not knowing if we would use it or not, but it was so dreamy. It added so much and was so incredibly beautiful. I highly suggest a hair piece! Something so little, adds so much.
I think that covers just about everything in terms of getting ready. Everything is linked in the post and will be linked down below. If I forgot anything, let me know! What were your favorite bridal pieces/accessories?
The Vape Store says
I operate a vape shop submission site and we have had a listing from a vape shop in the United States that additionally offers for sale CBD goods. A Month later, PayPal has written to use to claim that our account has been restricted and have asked us to remove PayPal as a payment method from our vape shop directory site. We do not sell CBD items such as CBD oil. We solely offer marketing and advertising services to CBD firms. I have taken a look at Holland & Barrett– the UK’s Well known Wellness Store and if you take a good look, you will witness that they sell a pretty comprehensive variety of CBD goods, specifically CBD oil and they also happen to take PayPal as a payment method. It emerges that PayPal is employing double standards to different firms. Due to this constraint, I can no longer take PayPal on my CBD-related online site. This has constricted my payment options and right now, I am heavily reliant on Cryptocurrency payments and straightforward bank transfers. I have checked with a barrister from a Magic Circle law office in The city of london and they explained that what PayPal is doing is absolutely unlawful and discriminatory as it should be applying a consistent benchmark to all companies. I am still to get in touch with yet another lawyer from a US law office in London to see what PayPal’s legal position is in the USA. Meanwhile, I would be extremely appreciative if anyone here at targetdomain could offer me with different payment processors/merchants that work with CBD firms.
