5 Healthy Habits I Recently Added Into My Daily Routine

healthy habits

I’m not sure what started it, but I have been on a major health kick lately. Ever since the wedding, I have been on a journey to my healthiest self. In order to do that, I have incorporated 5 healthy habits into my daily routine and today I am going to share with you what those are. Spending so much more time at home has allowed me to be more in tune with my body and what it needs. What better time than now to start taking care of ourselves?

I’ve always been big on health and wellness, but it’s easier to talk about it than to actually stay motivated to do it. Everyone’s body and lifestyle is different and I am not a doctor, I am just sharing my personal experience and what seems to be working for me. This is a marathon, not a sprint and I am only in the early stages of this lifestyle change so I will be sharing more as time goes on. Be sure to follow along on Instagram where I share more of my daily life.

5 Healthy Habits I Added Into My Daily Routine

  1. Vitamins: I have been wanting to add a multi-vitamin into my routine for a long time but when it comes to choosing which one, it can be a little overwhelming. I have been trying Hundred and I am really happy with them. The way it works is you take a quiz on their website and they will help you determine what vitamins you need based on how you feel, what you would like to improve, etc. They put together a monthly supply of individual vitamin packets and it makes it really easy to take and travel with if you are someone who is on the go. I love these and I’m excited to see any improvements over my first month.
  2. Coconut Oil: I purchased unrefined coconut oil and have been using it in so many ways. I have been using it as a conditioner in my hair. It works best to apply it for 30 minutes before I get in the shower. Let it soak in. You can also apply it to skin and face in the shower. I rub it in areas where I am experiencing dry skin. This is great, all-natural way to add moisture to your body, especially now that the colder months have arrived. You can purchase it at your local grocery store or on Amazon (this one has amazing reviews).
  3. Gratitude: A lot of people say that keeping a gratitude journal helps them maintain a positive outlook and feel happier. Instead of writing it down, Eddie and I voice what we are thankful for to each other every single day. It helps us express to each other something that is on our mind and what is important to us. This is something I look forward to every single day. Do you have a gratitude journal?
  4. Walks: We haven’t been doing these every single day, but many days and it seriously makes such a difference. Just 20-30 minutes of outdoor movement can make such a big impact on your day. Especially now that we are at the tail end of the nice weather, it’s so nice to enjoy the days we can outside and it gives me uninterrupted time to spend with my husband. Read my blog post on reasons you should workout with your significant other.
  5. Water Intake: I think now that I am taking vitamins in the morning, it helps me get started on sipping on my water. I have a Tumbler from SW Designs and Customs that I absolutely love and take everywhere with me. Get yourself a cute cup and it will make it easier to get your water in, trust me! I’ll link a few cute options below.
