It’s apple picking season. Due to Hurricane Dorian, my trip to see Eddie in Pennsylvania got extended and we took a trip to the Solebury Orchards in New Hope, the most gorgeous place to visit not only in the fall, but at all times of the year. I haven’t been apple picking in years but since going recently, I’d like to make it a point to add it to my fall bucket list every year.
Solebury Orchards
The orchards are open year round and grows apples, peaches, blueberries, and many other fruits. You can purchase products at the market on the farm and during apple and blueberry season, you can pick your own fruit. The property is absolutely gorgeous and you definitely don’t want to miss it. A wagon will take you up to the top of the property and you can walk through magnificent orchards, full of fruit.
Homemade Apple Sauce
When life gives you apples, make apple sauce. There are also so many delicious apple recipes you can find on Pinterest (follow my FALL board here). We decided to make apple sauce and oh my goodness – it was so good. The recipe we followed was found on Pinterest and it did not disappoint. The smell in the kitchen was almost as good as the taste of it. We added cinnamon and ended up putting it on our pork chops for dinner that night – yum!
What would you make with your picked apples?

I would use the picked apples for apple pie! My auntie makes a bomb apple pie! Every year during Thanksgiving she always makes us some for the family. So good!

So going to hit up a pumpkin patch and hay ride and all that jazz this season – especially because we have a 9 month old, and I feel like the stimulation would be amazing for him!

Going to the apple orchard is a great Fall date idea. I’ll have to do this with my boyfriend this Fall too. We went last year and it was a lot of fun.

It’s been a beautiful and refreshing date! We would go and pick apples for eating and baking. When we get them directly from the orchard, there’s no taste like that!
