Happy First day of Fall! I think it’s safe to say most people consider “fall” their favorite season. For me personally, this is the best time of year for many reasons – fall fashion is my favorite, it’s the beginning of the holiday season, more family usually visits during the next few months and the weather cools down to much more bearable temps. Not to mention, fall activities are here and that means pumpkin patches, apple orchards and corn mazes.

Last fall, my family was on a trip up to Pennsylvania and we visited Port Farms in Waterford, PA. If you’re ever in that area, be sure to check it out. We had such a good time and there’s so much to do. Earlier this month, Eddie and I visited Solebury Orchards in New Hope, PA and you can read all about that here. Since the fall season has just begun, there’s still plenty of time to make your fall bucket list and start crossing off the lines.

Here are a few things I would like to do this year.
Fall Bucket List
- Go apple picking – Do some research on the nearest orchard and go grab some apples. It’s a great way to support your local farms and stock up on fresh apples for baking delicious fall treats. (Apple Picking at Solebury Orchards)
- Try a new fall drink – I have my eye on the pumpkin cream cold brew but haven’t tried it yet. What’s your go-to fall drink?
- Carve or paint pumpkins – I have always carved pumpkins but this year I plan on painting pumpkins as decor. Do you paint or carve?
- Bake pumpkin cookies – Pumpkin flavored anything is my favorite ever. My mom has the best recipe ever! Want me to share?
- Bonfire with friend and family – Grab a hoodie, an outdoor blanket, your friends and family and sit around the fire. The crisp air only lasts for a short amount of time, so get out and enjoy it.
- Take a drive to soak in all of the changing leaves – The changing colors of the leaves never gets old. Growing up I always had favorite trees that would bring out some of the most beautiful colors.

I love your list, I might have to take a trip somewhere cooler. Houston does not have any changing leaves or apple orchards. I can do the rest of the list though.
Thank you. Yes, all prepped for apple picking, craving pumpkins, baking and everything fall related.
So sweet! Those ideas are really perfect for a date. They are perfect for the season and simple. And sometimes simple thing creates more and genuine happiness.
My husband does all the carving. But I love watching the kids help him.
