Whether you are a subscriber of Live Love Sophia or if you are here for the first time, it will not take you long to realize something obvious; at any given moment in our house, animals are likely to outnumber humans. Be it cats, dogs or horses (sometimes it’s tough to tell the difference), most of the space in and around our property is occupied by a fun-loving furry friend.

As important as it is to us that we share our world with as many four-legged companions as possible, our home is not a zoo and having a clean, comfortable, safe place for our pets and people paramount. As a recently certified lifestyle coach, sleep health has been a recurrent investigative focus of mine. I’m as liable as my readers when I disclose just how much of a guilty pleasure it is for me to spoon up one of my pups for an afternoon nap. Unfortunately, between the cuddly golden-doodle, the loafing golden retriever and the supersized great dane, the smother is real.

The designers used suitable fabrics and colors to match furniture in your house while providing a luxurious sleeping spot for your pet. We placed the pet bed near the kitchen because Vinnie (our Irish Goldendoodle) likes to be able to see us and as a big Italian family, most of our time is spent in the kitchen. Sometimes I move it to the living room so he can be there with us too. It’s really easy to pick up and move from room to room.

Comfort

Vinnie is a sleeper of many different positions. He will start one way, bend around to a different spot and wake up looking like a pretzel. As soon as I took the bed out of the box he was in it and refuses to let his brother’s in. I truly have never seen him use a pet bed more than this one. He LOVES it. I actually caught him leaning back in it like he was on a sofa. It’s big enough that he has room to sleep any way he wants.

Quality

As I mentioned earlier in this post, sleep is not only crucial to our health but also the wellness of our dogs. They deserve comfortable and quality sleep just as much as we do and the La-Z Boy beds provide just that. I am totally impressed with the quality of the bed we received.

On top of these three traits, the pet beds are also really easy to clean – you can remove the outer cover, put it in the machine and wash it. I actually love having a pet bed visible and how it adds more character to the home. The dogs are such a big part of my life so to have a designated spot for them in the house is really important to me.
