Hi friends! I feel like I haven’t posted in forever, but I’m back! Ever since I started IIN Nutrition School, I have been curious to try different diets, recipes and on that list was also a juice cleanse. I have tried juices and even made my own, but I had never drank only juice for any designated period of time. There are a few reasons why – it can be expensive and it sounds hard! I finally took the jump and I’m here to tell you all about it. Follow along on my Instagram!
The Cleanse
The cleanse I chose was a 3-day cleanse with Raw Generation Juices. They offer 3, 5 and 7 day cleanses of either a Skinny Cleanse or a Protein Cleanse. I did the skinny cleanse, which comes with 18 bottles – 6 bottles per day. Raw Generation uses only plant-based ingredients and never pasteurize the juices. All blends are made with 100% raw juices – giving your body the maximum nutrition it needs. What I love about it is that the package comes straight to your door. The juices come frozen and need 24 hours to thaw.
My Experience
I loved the experience overall. Living in South Florida in 90 degree weather wasn’t ideal because I spend my my mornings outside at the barn and I sweat a lot. The first day was easier than I thought. The juices all tasted so good (I was worried about that) and I would drink all of them again. The information sheet said that if you need a crunch or feel like you need something of substance, you can have nuts or raw vegetables. I did take advantage of that at the end of the second day. The night of the second day was the hardest for me. Even just a few nuts did help though.
How I Felt
Overall, I felt good. I felt refreshed and I woke up feeling ready for the day. I have a poor digestive system and frequently wake up in the morning feeling bloated but I did not feel that during the cleanse. I felt lighter in a sense. I did start to feel a little weak at one point but nothing major. One of the important things to remember during a cleanse is to drink a lot of water, which is something I struggle with.
What I Would Do Differently Next Time
If I were to do another juice cleanse, I would really try to drink more water. I feel that it would have better prepared me and I would have been able to fully embrace the cleanse. I like the 3-day length of it and for my lifestyle, I think it was just enough.
I highly recommend Raw Generation Juices if you are looking to try a juice cleanse. They are affordable, friendly and delicious. If you have any questions about the cleanse, send me an email and I’d love to chat with you.

I did a juice cleanse for the first time last year and loved it 🙂 It’s easier if it’s 90 degrees out – you don’t crave warm meals as much 😉

It is good practice to cleanse your body every once in a while. I haven’t tried juice cleanses myself but it was nice reading about your experience.

I have also thought about doing a juice cleanse, but never have for some reason or another. It sounds like this one might be good to try if I ever decide to go ahead and do one.
