“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
– Winston S. Churchill
It’s the month of giving at Jersey Mike’s and I’m here to tell you how you can get involved. If you aren’t already familiar, Jersey Mike’s is a sub shop from New Jersey, with over a thousand locations around the United States. The culture of giving is very prominent at Jersey Mike’s and they believe that making a great sandwich and making a difference can be on in the same. Every time a store opens, it starts by partnering with a charity in the local community. Jersey Mike’s believes that the sub’s job isn’t done at just tasting good (and trust me, they taste really good), but it should do good too.
During the month of March, customers can come into the restaurant and donate to a charity partner local to your restaurant. On top of the month of giving, Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving is on March 27th, when 100% of the day’s sales are donated to the local partner charity.
The local charity in my area is the Quantum House, a home that lessens the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition. I was fortunate to volunteer there for a summer and I saw how this house made these families feel at home. The Quantum House and other charities rely on donations to make the greatest impact on those that need it the most. Jersey Mike’s giving initiative can make a significant difference in local communities but they need your help.
More than 1,500 Jersey Mike’s locations across the country are joining forces with more than 200 local charities for the company’s 9th Annual Month of Giving fundraising campaign. Last year’s Month of Giving raised more than $6 million for local charities nationwide, and this year Jersey Mike’s wants to break last year’s record-setting total. Visit your local Jersey Mike’s this month and make a donation to its designated charity partner! On March 27th, all store proceeds to go charity!
