Finding a Self Care Practice | Caring Crate

One of the most talked about topics right now is self care and its importance. Especially in today’s world, humans are moving at a faster pace and life doesn’t seem to slow down. After too much running around, it can really wear on us. It’s hard to take a step back and really take time to take care of yourself, or in other terms, practice self care.

“The most powerful relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself.”

– Diane Von Furstenburg

I am definitely guilty of this. I constantly want to be working on something. If I’m not at work or the barn, I am working on a blog post, doing my nutrition school or shooting content. A few weeks ago my sister looked at me and said, “Sophie, take a night off.” She was right, I needed a night off, but I needed that reminder. Without my sister’s comment, I would have just kept going.

I am fortunate to have people like my sister in my life – people that notice when I am spreading myself too thin. It’s hard to keep up with a self care practice alone, but you don’t have to do it alone. Caring Crate, a monthly subscription service of high-quality gift boxes filled with 4-5 full sized health and wellness related products makes it easy. Every item is specifically chosen to make you feel better, whether you suffer from chronic illness, are experiencing mental health issues or you just simply need a little self-care reminder once a month.

Here is a look inside a caring crate:

These are the items that came in my Caring Crate.
Each month you will receive a box with items that promote a healthy well-being.

I really love the idea behind this company and if you are looking for a way to practice self-care, the Caring Crate may be for you!

I love the idea of a self care crate! I’ve made it a resolution this year to allow myself a day a month dedicated to pure indulgence. That means getting my nails done, having a massage, and getting my haircut. And once a week I meet a friend for coffee or dinner. Life is so much more than work. When I look back on my time, it’s these little things that make me smile.

Wow! I think I could really benefit from this. I think I take sufficient time for myself (when possible) but this crate would be an incredible aid. Thanks!
