We are nearing the end of the year and it’s time to get organized for the one to come. I love the idea of a “fresh start.” It may just be another day, but the first day of a new year sometimes feels like a new beginning, a clean slate and an opportunity to set new goals. For some, that may be traveling to a new country and for others it may be looking for a new career path.
It’s easy to set significant goals, but it’s difficult to stay focused and maintain the same energy throughout the year. Let’s be honest…you probably don’t remember what your resolutions were last year. One way to stay organized is writing in a planner. According to research, putting goals in written form is strongly associated with goal success.
“People who vividly describe or picture their goals are anywhere from 1.2 to 1.4 times more likely to successfully accomplish their goals.”
I have tried many planners over the years but there is nothing like an Erin Condren planner. Everything from the designs to the layout, there is nothing better. They even make teacher lesson planners, wedding planners and academic planners. I am going to share with you 5 ways that I use my Erin Condren planner to stay organized in the new year .
3 Ways to Stay Organized in the New Year
- Get a planner. The best way to get organized and stay organized is having a device that holds you accountable. Make it part of your routine to write in your planner everyday and check it frequently.
- Create inspiration. One thing I absolutely love about the Erin Condren planners is how you can totally personalize the planner to you. You can choose colors, designs, themes and even add your name. You can purchase stickers, tapes and writing tools that will help you create inspiration and vision boards within your planner. This will help keep you motivated and inspired throughout the year.
- Put specific time frames on your goals. Start small and choose target dates. For example, in one month you want to have all your research done on a new trip, in three months you want to have the trip booked and in 6 months you want to travel. Write down these dates. That way, if you haven’t completed the task by the date, you know that you need to get on it.

Oh that was something i had been doing from the past 5 years. I always thought of someone else is doing the same things, it’s funny and great at the same way. A little futuristic but at least everything is simply organized.
