Hi everyone! I recently took a trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and if you are an orchid lover, buy your tickets now. Even if you know nothing about orchids, this is still a great place to visit and I promise you will enjoy. Since Eddieand I do long distance and we don’t see each other much, we always try to try new things and make the most of our time together. Longwood Gardens is the kind of place where you lose track of time because there’s just so much beauty to see. The gardens were founded by the DuPont family and consist of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows. It is open year round and holds seasonal attractions, lectures, workshops and performances.
I went in February so it was a bit cold, therefore we stuck to the indoor gardens but there is a large display of outdoor gardens as well. I cannot believe how many greenhouses there were. There is a beautiful gift shop and you can even visit the DuPont house. Below are some of the beautiful flowers and just a small glimpse into what you will see at Longwood Gardens.

The indoor gardens look like springtime fantasy wonderland. I would love to visit in the peak of spring to see the outdoor gardens as well. This isn’t too far from me. I’m defiantly adding it to my places to visit!

I love orchids and am lucky to have them in our garden throughout the year in Florida. If I make it to Philadelphia I will definitely make suer I stop at Longwood Gardens!
