Urbanized – Recycled Coffee to Natural Exfoliating Soaps

urbanized beauty

From recycled coffee to natural exfoliating soaps, this is the best soap for you and the environment. Ever since I started traveling and experiencing different parts of the earth, I have really learned to value the importance of protecting our environment. Throughout the last five years, I have been to Nicaragua, Africa, Costa Rica and all over the UK. Every part of the world has different, yet similar problems and challenges. What I learned was that even though we don’t notice it everyday, our actions are influencing the future state of our planet. When you travel to a small island that has no garbage system, you notice the amount of trash and pollution. When you have a garbage can in your home and the lid covers it up, you don’t even think for a second the next step for that piece of garbage. Where is it going? Will it be recycled? Does it even matter if it’s recycled? What does that mean for the earth?

Side note: If you are interested in doing volunteer work abroad, I made a list of what you can expect here.

As a blogger, I spend so much time researching and discovering some of the most incredible brands that are working so hard to not only build a company, but change the world. Recently, I discovered Urbanized, a company with a mission to lower landfill waste from coffee consumption. How cool, right? It turns out that coffee grounds can be used to make wonderful natural products and the founders did just that. Their products are handmade with 100% natural ingredients which means they are not only good for us, but for our planet.

So how do you make recycled exfoliating soaps?

First, they collect used coffee grounds from local coffee shops that believe in their mission and they dry and store them. They then turn the locally sourced coffee ground into all natural and innovative products which then become available to you right here.

To make it even better, Urbanized only uses recycled packaging material that can be recycled for future use. What are you doing to protect the environment? Comment below!
