Hi loves! I am super excited to share this post with you today. I have been planning this post for awhile now and this is just the beginning of this crazy chicken adventure. A few months ago I made the decision to get baby chicks and become a chicken mother – a cool chicken mother. I had all these plans in my head about their coop, how I would decorate it and what kinds of flowers I would plant around it. I called Tractor Supply every day for two weeks inquiring about the type of chicks that came in that morning. (Tractor Supply sells baby chicks all Spring if you are looking to raise chickens).
As these little fluff balls grew up, I started itching for more and ended up purchasing ten more hens from a farm to add to the family. Once the birds were old enough, we transferred them into their coop and here is an inside look:
This coop was purchased at The Urban Coop Company. If you are thinking about purchasing and raising chickens, check them out. If you don’t live on a farm, that does not mean you can’t have birds. Check out the laws and regulations of your neighborhood before moving forward.
This is just the beginning of my coop decorations. I just started an Etsy shop and I am thinking about creating more coop/farmhouse decor to sell. What do you think? Stay tuned for my journey with these lovely ladies. Below you will find a starter kit with some of the items you will need to keep chickens happy and healthy.
